Masala Idli Fry is a gently flavored sautéed dish produced using idlis. The Idlis are seared till they are fresh and afterward threw in curry leaves and South Indian flavors.

Masala Idli Fry Ingredients | Fried Idli Recipe
- 16-18 Idlis
- 50-65 Curry Leaves
- 10-12 Dried Red Chillies
- 9-10 Cloves of Garlic
- 2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 2 Teaspoon Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
- 2 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 2 Teaspoon Urad Dal (Split & Skinned Black Gram Lentils)
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Sambar Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Amchur (Dry Mango Powder)
- 3 Tablespoon Oil
*Collect a few dried red chilies, curry leaves, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, and dark peppercorns and blend them densely in a blender.
*Idlis should be gathered. Because leftover Idlis are less crumbly, they work best. If you are using freshly made Idlis, chill them for 30 minutes before using.
*Idlis ought to be cut into pieces.
*In a pan, heat the oil and fry the Idlis until crispy and light brown in color and add some black mustard seeds (rai) and urad dal to the same pan.
*Mix in a few curry leaves. This is optional, as they are already in the spice blend we made earlier.
*Fry for a few seconds after adding the spice mixture you made earlier and thereafter, add fried Idlis to the pan.
*Sprinkle with salt, sambar masala, and amchur and mix the masala into the Idlis.
*Before serving, sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala on top if desired.
