From Sweet to Spicy: Elevate Your Meal with These Mouth-Watering Chutney Recipes

Chutney is a popular condiment in Indian cuisine that is usually served with various snacks and meals. There are many types of chutneys, including coconut chutney, mint chutney, tamarind chutney, tomato chutney, and many more. Here's a recipe for a basic chutney that can be adapted to different types of chutneys by adding or substituting ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
1-2 green chilies, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
2-3 tablespoons water
Directions:

In a blender or food processor, combine cilantro leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, onion, cumin powder, salt, sugar, and lime juice.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of water and blend until smooth. If the chutney is too thick, add a little more water to get the desired consistency.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If the chutney is too spicy, you can add more sugar or lime juice to balance it out.

Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Note: You can make different types of chutneys by substituting the cilantro and mint leaves with other ingredients. For example, to make coconut chutney, you can add grated coconut and omit the cilantro and mint leaves. To make tomato chutney, you can add chopped tomatoes and adjust the seasoning accordingly. The possibilities are endless!
